Enabling Access, Participation, and Measurable Outcomes

At Real Support Academy, we are developing and piloting an innovative Digital Voucher Platform (DVP) designed to transform how learners are supported—and how organisations drive participation, engagement, and outcomes.

This system is currently being tested and evaluated in real-world settings, with the aim of improving learner success, reducing inequality, and creating scalable pathways into education and employment.

Across the UK, many individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds enrol in training programmes but are unable to complete their learning or transition into employment, and this is as a result of multiple barriers, and these challenges disproportionately affect NEET young people, refugees, job seekers, and low-income learners, resulting in low retention rates and missed opportunities—despite strong motivation to succeed.

At the same time, organisations—including universities, colleges, charities, and training providers—often lack effective systems to:

Compensate research participants ethically

Recognise placements and volunteering

The Digital Voucher Platform (DVP) is a technology-enabled system designed to support not only learners, but also the organisations that serve them.

This transforms vouchers from simple targeted aid into a strategic tool for participation and progression.
